Market of Stars Hold Fast Scarf
The nautical artwork comes from an 1880’s children’s travel book, and features a charming sailing ship, breezy banners, and a radiant sun. The lovely little mermaid comes from a 1905 print entitled “The Looking Glass of Venus” by Sir Edward Burne-Jones.
Market of Stars have trimmed the entire piece in hand drawn nautilus and scallop shells from a French 1800’s sketchbook. We absolutely love the happy, beachy feels of this piece!
Market of Stars have modelled the size and weight after our favourite vintage French scarves to create chic, easy to wear designs for every day use. Crafted from soft bamboo viscose, the fabric is a lighter, airier weight than our kimonos, with the same beautifully soft feel.
They make a wonderful gift too!
Pure bamboo / wood viscose.
Handwash, hang to dry. 68cm x 155cm.
