Market of Stars FLEUR DE LUNE PIXIE DUSTER
Fleur de Lune is our luminous tribute to creative dreams; the quiet magic of moonlit gardens where imagination unfurls in the hush of night. Weaving together artistry of centuries past, this opulent collection features magnolia lithographs found in 18th and 19th century natural history books from Carolina and Virginia, and hand-coloured engravings of pears and figs plucked from historic botanical prints. The delicate moths that flutter across the design — including the ethereal luna moth — come from an 1894 etching, while the little golden bumblebees on the trim are borrowed from an embossed Victorian book cover.
The background of this dreamy collage is deeply personal to Danielle, the creative behind Market of Stars. It’s a photograph of the top of her own 150-year-old work table, the space where she creates many of her designs late at night! The table’s weathered surface is layered with traces of our past prints, smudges of paint, and whispered inspirations from the previous artists who owned it—an echo of the creative spirit that lingers long after the work is done.
Wild and lush, Fleur de Lune is an homage to the gardens that glow beneath the stars while we dream, where new ideas drift like the scent of magnolias in the night air, and the imagination — like a moth — is forever drawn to the light of the moon.
