Description: Lazybones Vintage inspired fit and flare Gianna dress with shirt style bodice in the very popular insect print. Relaxed fit waist which can be worn as is or cinched in with the fabric belt provided in solid grey. Pleated skirt finishes just below the knee and has side seam pockets and 3/4 length cuffed sleeves. This fabric is a heavier weight cotton for Autumn.
Digital print is artwork of Insects and Fruit by Jan van Kessel circa 1653 from The Rijksmuseum. Jan van Kessel painted various species of beetles, flies and butterflies near a twig of white currants with almost scientific accuracy. His images were inspired by scientific insect books and by studying the creatures themselves. This painting testifies to the curiosity, discovery, amazement and collection that gave rise to many art and curiosity cabinets of that time.
